Tony “Tony Guerrara” Guerrera

Tony “Tony Guerrara” Guerrera is a poker professional from Pasadena, California. Unlike most of today’s new-age pros, Tony came up the old school way. He started playing live poker at the Commerce Casino 10 years ago, and didn’t start playing online until 2003/04. He did, however, use his poker winnings to fund his education, a common theme among eventual pros.

Also unlike most pros, Tony has been an avid game theory fan from the start, and his eventual success at the tables gave him opportunities to write articles and eventually poker books on his theories. He is considered a premier poker theorist and his blog at KillerEV.com is both well-known and well-regarded. He also has one of the few poker podcasts (Killer Poker Analysis on Rounder’s Radio).

While Tony’s online accomplishments are modest compared to some of his counterparts, his knowledge of the game is surpassed by few, and his addition to the PocketFives training team is a coup for them.
