Mickey "mement_mori" Petersen Joins CardRunners

Chicago, IL - August 17, 2010-- Fresh off the heels of his second FTOPS victory, Mickey "mement_mori" Petersen joins CardRunners, the world leader poker training, as an MTT instructor.  Petersen is currently ranked #1 on the Bluff Online Player of the Year rankings and #5 on PocketFives. He won his first gold jersey last spring, scoring $86,700 in a $216 six-max event. The second FTOPS win came this past Saturday night in a $216 Rush Limit Hold'em event, and he earned $37,344 for the win.

Petersen has been on a heater since last spring. In addition to his FTOPS win, he final tabled two SCOOP events, winning 19-H ($2,000+100 NLHE with Big Antes) for $169,300 and then finishing 5th in 23-H ($1,000+50 NLHE with rebuys) for $72,200. He also found time to final table an EPT: San Remo side event, taking 4th for $97k. His first video is available now on CardRunners, and he will be answering questions from CR members in a well on the forums.

Outstanding Poker 2.0 Launched

New CardRunners Instructor - Andreas "Skjervøy" Torbergsen

Andreas "Skjervøy" Torbergsen Newest CardRunners Instructor and Full Tilt Poker Red Pro Chicago, IL - July 28, 2010 -- Earlier today CardRunners announced the signing of Norwegian Pot Limit Omaha (PLO) phenom Andreas Torbergsen. Playing under the names Skjervoy and Skjervøy, he's made over $1 million dollars on both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker. Andreas started playing poker with his father when he was a young boy growing up in Skjervøy, Norway, and then played with friends as he got older. He now plays mainly online, 10-20 PLO and higher, and will make high-stakes PLO videos for CardRunners.

CardRunners founder Taylor Caby is excited about the newest member of Team CardRunners. "When asking around the poker community about the best PLO players in the world, Andreas's name consistently came up as someone we need to have at CardRunners. He represents the first pro from outside North America on Team CardRunners as well as our first team member who exclusively plays PLO."
