Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu

Daniel “Kid Poker” Negreanu is the most well known poker player from Canada in the world and ranks amongst one of the best poker players in the world. Daniel was born in Toronto on July 26th 1974 and started gambling at a young age. At the age of 22 Daniel decided that he was going to Las Vegas to play poker, but soon after he was out of money and he headed back to his hometown Toronto. Daniel worked on his poker game and in 1997 made his mark on poker by being named the Player of the Tournament at the World Poker Finals after winning two events.

The following year in 1998 Negreanu won his first World Series of Bracelet by winning a $2K Pot Limit Omaha event. Negreanu has followed his first bracelet up with three more WSOP bracelets over his career and two WPT titles. In 2004 Daniel was named the World Series of Poker Player of the Year and then the following year in 2005 he was named the World Poker Tour Player of the Year.

Daniel is the head instructor currently of PokerVT which is a virtual training website for poker players. Over the years Negreanu has worked a lot online in order to help new poker players become better players. Negreanu has also appeared on lots of television shows including ?Poker After Dark?, ?High Stakes Poker?, ?Late Night Poker? and several others. His best tournament accomplishments have been his WSOP bracelets and WPT titles which he won in the following years.
