RoyalFlushClub is a poker club / poker school like training site, which provides its club members with an interactive online poker social club atmosphere. Originally founded by poker author and software developer Rick Braddy in 2004, this poker club has recently grown in greater numbers this year, especially since the signing of renowned live and online poker pro Brett “Gank” Jungblut to the team. There are much better options in the poker training market. Please look at our Cardrunners review for a much better training option.

Most of the video content for RoyalFlushClub members are instructional videos based on subjects such as bankroll management, dealing with bad beats, continuation bets, etc. The videos are catered towards low stake players and beginners. One thing to note is that there are two levels of subscriptions for RoyalFlushClub members, standard and Poker Underground. Standard members will not get all the videos available, including the Gank videos. There are about 10 downloadable videos, and a handful of ebooks and articles. iPod compatable videos are being worked on.
Ratings :
Cash Games
The Gank videos are ok, but some of the other videos offer some -EV advice right off the top. example buying in at 1/2 the max? Too many non live videos as well.
Ratings :
Multi Table Tournaments (MTT)
Some decent MTT strategy videos by Gank on various subjects such as the art of restealing, bubble play, final table play.
Ratings :
Sit-N-Go’s (SNG)
Probably the most informative section on RoyalFlushClub. A collaboration of various sit and go strategies for low stake games
Ratings :
Weaknesses
One big turnoff with the RoyalFlushClub is simply to appearance of the site. It is hard to navigate and it takes a while to actually figure out where to go on that site. Plus a lot of the sections, and videos, appear more like an infomercial.
Strengths
Portraying a “poker club” like atmosphere, that is probably the strongest selling point for RoyalFlushCardMembers.com There is active participation in the discussion forums, and plenty of related strategy articles and ebooks available for members.
Expected Value: Is Royal Flush Club worth it?
The old fashioned idea of building a poker club where players all over can unite and simply talk and learn together is a pretty good idea. Unfortunately in today’s world the price just says no. For $200, there is simply better options out there, and buying the “standard” package is not a good idea. There isn’t much in the standard package, and all the “Gank” videos, which are all very well done, are part of the Underground package.
