Mike “Sir Watts” Watson

Mike “Sir Watts” Watson

Mike “Sir Watts” Watson was born in St. Johns, Newfoundland and he is currently an instructor for the poker training website PokerSavvyPlus. His main duties over at PokerSavvyPlus will be to offer training videos offering strategy on multi-table tournaments and PL Omaha cash games. Mike will also be creating training videos on other topics from time to time, but the above two categories will be his main focus.

Mike Watson has already had some excellent finishes in his poker career thus far including a WPT Title. During the early years of Watson’s poker career he didn’t have the money to buy into all of the live events he plays in today. He had a very small starting bankroll when he started playing online poker in college, but he managed to work it up through sit and go tournaments and multi-table tournaments. After winning lots of money and respect online in tournaments Mike started playing a lot more live poker.

In 2007 he had an excellent WSOP series where he cashed 5 times, but he was unable to win a WSOP bracelet although I’m sure he will in time. Throughout Watson’s career he has cashed 8 times at the WSOP and 2 times at the WPT. Mike currently resides in Toronto, Ontario and has been busy pursing many of his hobbies and interests when he isn’t teaching poker or playing poker.
