Jerry “herschelw” Watterson

Jerry “herschelw” Watterson is a 26-year-old professional poker player from Jacksonville, Florida.  Like many other poker pros, Jerry put himself through college playing online, then turned it into a full-time job after getting his degree. Unlike most other pros, Jerry has always been interested in helping other players get the most out of their games, and considers himself one of the pioneers of teaching classroom-style to groups over the internet.

Jerry played professionally for three years full-time, focusing on MTTs and then cash ring games. Accumulating over $400K in earnings online and with a notable live table accomplishment to his credit, Jerry decided to put in more time teaching and has now joined the PocketFives instructors’ team. He’s already helped hundreds of players, from raw beginners to experienced veterans, improve their games, and now hopes to help even more with the help of PocketFives training. He uses his large network of professional colleagues to help keep him on top of his game and teaching methods.

Jerry’s achievements at the table include:

  • MoneyMaker Millionaire (televised live, finished 2nd, $300,000)
