Damien “zedveron” Elsing

Damien “zedveron” Elsing is a poker player from Melbourne, Australia.  He has earned over $800,000 playing online tournaments.  He considers himself a high-volume MTT grinder at mid-level stakes, and does not identify himself as a professional poker player. In fact, he claims he would rather be described as anything but.

He began playing online MTTs in late 2007, and you will find him primarily at Pokerstars and Full Tilt Poker.  He put himself through university by earning over $40,000 in 2008 (sound familiar?). He prefers Pot Limit Omaha cash games as well as tournaments, but is happy to play in NLHE games. He has recently joined the PocketFives training team.

Damien has had some impressive cashes in his short “career”, including the $70K guaranteed, the $11 1R1A, as well as the $28K guaranteed and several of the Big Doubles on Full Tilt. His biggest win came when he took down the Pokerstars $80K guaranteed for over $13,000 in February 2009, the same month he had a total of 111 cashes across the two sites.
