Brett “bballwiz” Fox

Brett “bballwiz” Fox is a rarity in the poker training world these days, as he’s not a true professional. The 22 year-old from Long Beach, New York started playing poker in 2003, and as of 2006, decided that he could pay his way through university with the money he was making. He is currently finishing a Hospitality Major at the New York Institute of Technology.

Brett still plays relatively low stakes games compared to some of the other PocketFives instructors. You will still often find him playing $40 & $100 SNGs on FullTiltPoker and 3/6 and 5/10 NL Omaha cash games, where he grinds out a nice side living while completing his studies.

Brett’s accomplishments to date include:

  • $15,000 earned on MTTs in June 2006
  • FTP $10K win and several final tables
  • FTP $55 6-max win
