PokerXFactor.com Review
pxf banner

PokerXFactor is a training site developed on the strengths of poker pros Eric “Sheets” Haber and Cliff "JohnnyBax" Josephy, and backed by the some of the biggest names of online poker today. PokerXFactor is more of a resource based training site, rather than just a gathering of videos, with the addition of hand histories, lectures, and quizzes. With the recent acquisition of PokerFox, the video and talent base will grow tremendously, something both current and future PokerXFactor members should be very excited about.

PokerXFactor was once mainly a tournament based training site, but with the recent acquisition of PokerFox, that will all change. Expect a nice mix of all areas of poker. The fact that there is a huge instructor list of top name pros, means that there is a wide assortment of playing styles taught. Learning all spectrums, from the TAG styles of Pearl Jammer / Rizen vs the extreme LAG styles of BeL0WaB0Ve, you are able to determine which method fits you best.

Cash Games (Videos) Pros 7/10 7/10
NLHE - No-Limit Hold 'Em 6 Max (6) Rizen Most of the Cash games are instructed by Rizen. Even though there aren't too many, the actual quality learned is excellent. Ranges from low limit to $5/10
Full Ring (11) Rizen, Sheets Ranges from low limit to $5/10. Addition of PokerFox should help grow this area.
HeadsUp (2) Rizen Rizen $1/2 and $2/4 headsup series
LHE - Limit Hold 'Em Full Ring (1) Rizen Only 1 limit video and it is on a full ring table at $2/4

Multi Table Tournaments (MTT) 10/10 10/10

MTT Pros: Sheets, Rizen, JohnnyBax, Belowabove, PearlJammer, apestyles, brsavage, AJKHoosier10, aaaaaaaa, UCLABruinz

Out of all the training sites, PokerXFactor probably has the best "instructors" of the game. The coaches of each video often explain in detail the reasoning behind their actions, and also explore "what if" scenarios that might come across. A wide array of playing styles are covered, and also a broad range of limits. The tournament traing section of pokerxfactor is definately top notch.

Sit and Go's (SNG) 9/10 9/10
SNG Pros: Sheets, JohnnyBax, Inissint
The three above noted pros are the authors for the majority of videos that range in limits from $1 - $2000. Sheets plays SNGs for a living and is known as one of the best in the world. The addition of Inissint only adds to that as he also is known as one of the best. SnG pro Beanmo was just added to the lineup as well.

Other Games (Stud, Omaha, Razz, etc.) 6/10 6/10
Right now there are several PLO videos for both cash games and multitable tournaments. The addition of Hatfield13 should add to this mix. No other games are covered.

Weaknesses
The biggest weakness of PokerXFactor is probably the release frequency. Tournament series videos are released in parts of 40-60mins each. Some series go as long as 10 parts, but unfortunately they are not all released at once. Sometimes you can wait a month from part to part, and you pretty much forget what went on the previous episode. For such a top of the line training centre, releases aren't as frequent as others, especially considering the price is the highest in the industry.

Strengths
The layout of the PokerXFactor training center is extremely convenient and easy to navigate. You are able to search for the type of video, or the author at ease. The site also keeps track of the videos you have already viewed. One big plus about PokerXFactor is its growing community. Because of the Freerolls, leagues, pxf branded store merchandise, and other giveaways, forum traffic is pretty strong, and various pros are often participating in discussions. It's not only limited to pxf instructors, big name players such as Annette15, and Kenny Rap are often participating and submitting hand histories! Also Since hand histories are loaded into the PXF built software, picture quality is top notch.

Expected Value: Is PokerXFactor worth it?
PokerXFactor is definitely the one of the top training videos that will provide an invaluable resource of all levels of players, especially on the tournament and sit&go side. The level of instruction is unbelievable, making them great teachers. The initial signup fee is a hefty one for those without a large bankroll, but I'd recommend going outside your bankroll to pay for this. I would rather have 1 month of pxf, than HOH volumes 1-5!

Overall Rating:

9/10 9/10
