Cardrunners is running a Poker Video Challenge with a total prize pool of $10,000. The person who submits the best poker training video will take home $5,000 plus the opportunity to become the next cardrunners instructor. Second Place wins $2,500, Third Place: $1,000, Fourth Place: $500, and Fifth Place: A deluxe poker chip set valued at $175. Simply visit www.cardrunnersvideochallenge.com and upload your homemade poker training video before July 1st 2010. A panel of judges will select the 5 finalists and then Cardrunners members will then vote on the order of those 5.
In other Cardrunners news, only a few months after Cole “CTS” South stepped down as a primary instructor with the popular training site, Brian “sbrugby” Townsend has just announced on his blog that he too will leave CR after the completion of a couple more videos. “CardRunners is still a great business, but it is one that is much more time consuming than I would have imagined. I value the friendships I have created here immensely, but over the previous months, I have started to realize that it is time for me to move on and devote my time to playing poker.” Stepping down from Card Runners will also cause him to lose his red pro status from Full Tilt.
Hopefully the poker video challenge will produce some poker training stars in the making to replace these great instructors.
